Kegaon IIC Suspended

Kalahandi (Reporters Today Bureau): A day after Gobinda Sahu, the main accused in Mamita Meher murder case, confessed to killing her, an Inspector In-Charge of Kegaon PS of Kalahandi was suspended today. DIG,Northern range- Deepak Kumar placed Damu Paraja, the IIC of Kegaon on suspension for dereliction of duty. This was informed by Kalahandi SP Saravana Vivek M.

Family members of Mamita Meher, the woman teacher of Sunshine Model School, Mahaling in Kalahandi, alleged the IIC of Kegaon police station had not lodged a missing complaint that was submitted by them.

After Mamita Meher went missing on October 8, family members of the woman teacher sought help of the Kegaon Police. But instead of filing the complaint, the IIC shooed them away, the woman teacher’s family members added.
