Karnataka: Man slits friend’s throat, drinks blood

Bengaluru: A disturbing incident took place where a man was arrested for slitting his friend’s throat and consuming his blood in Karnataka’s Chikkaballapur district on June 19

The accused, identified as Vijay, suspected his friend Maresh of having an affair with his wife, which allegedly led to this horrifying act.

Vijay, a resident of Chikkaballapur, has been detained by the police, who are currently questioning him. A case has been registered against him under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code.

The entire incident was captured on a mobile phone by another friend who was present. The video shows Vijay punching Maresh, who is lying on the ground with his throat cut open. Shockingly, Vijay is then seen appearing to drink his friend’s blood. The video went viral, leading to the arrest of the accused. Meanwhile, the victim was promptly rushed to a hospital for medical treatment.

According to the police, Vijay had called Maresh to meet him in a forested area where an argument ensued between them.

Further investigations are currently underway.
