Kalahandi to get air connectivity

Air connectivity to Kalahandi districts will become a reality as steps are being initiated to start flight operation at Utkela airport in Kalahandi district.

As per the sources, Flight operations from the Utkela airport may begin anytime next month if all formalities are completed and required permission is availed from the DGCA by last week of the current month.

Noteworthy, The GSEC Monarch and Deccan Aviation Pvt Ltd will operate flights to Jeypore in Koraput and Utkela in Kalahandi under Ude Desh ka Aam Naagrik (UDAN) scheme.
