Justice Raghubir Das appointed as member of OHRC

Former judge of the Orissa High Court, Justice Raghubir Das was on Sunday appointed as a member of the Odisha Human Rights Commission (OHRC) by the Governor Prof Ganeshi Lal.

Justice Das will act as a member of the commission with effect from the date he assumes charge of the office. “In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of the Section 22 of the Protection of Human Rights Act, 1993 (Act 10 of 1994), the Governor of Odisha is pleased to appoint Sri Justice Raghubir Das, former judge of Orissa High Court (Retired) to be the Member of Odisha Human Rights Commission with effect from the date he assumes charge of this office,” an official notification of the Odisha Law Department said.
