Jeypore: 2 Minors swept away while filming reels near Gulmi Waterfall

Jeypore: Two minor boys drowned while shooting reels during Raja celebrations at Gulmi waterfall in Jeypore, Koraput district.

According to information, the victims were part of a five-member group of friends who had come to visit the popular tourist spot on Sunday. They belonged to Kosagumuda block of Nabarangpur district.

The mishap occurred when the group was enjoying and filming near the scenic waterfall when suddenly two of the boys accidentally slipped and were swept away by the strong current of water. Their friends immediately raised an alarm, but the duo got carried away by the water current underwater within seconds.

Following the incident, Kotpad Fire Services and Police reached the spot and began an intensive search operation and probe into the drowning. Efforts to trace the missing boys were ongoing at the time of reporting of the story, with villagers and authorities anxiously waiting for the results.
