Jewellery: 10% extra sale on occasion of Dhanteras

The thirteenth of the holy month of Kartika is celebrated as the birthday of god Dhanwantari. Many people also believe it to be the day when goddess Lakshmi makes visits to her devotee’s homes. Typically, every year during this time people make a beeline to shops, especially jewellery shops to purchase jewellery or at least some metal house-hold articles. This is considered to be very auspicious and  people believe it attracts the blessings of Lakshmi.

This year also people visited shops in large numbers to make their purchases. Shops have recorded a 10 percent rise in sales compared to previous year. Both customers and shop keepers are happy.
