Jeweller Robbed of Ornaments Worth Rs 30 Lakh at Gunpoint

Baripada: In a daring daylight robbery, two unidentified miscreants looted ornaments worth approximately Rs 30 lakh from a jeweller in Udala, Mayurbhanj district, on Wednesday night. The incident occurred near Balimundali Chhak on the Udala-Baripada road.

Sundar Narayan Sahoo, the victim, reported to the police that he was closing his shop and heading home when two masked men on a motorcycle intercepted him. The robbers threatened him with a gun and snatched a bag containing valuable ornaments. After executing the heist, the miscreants fled the scene on their bikes.

Unable to prevent the robbery, Sahoo immediately contacted the police and filed a complaint at the Khunta police station. The police have since registered a case and launched an investigation to identify and apprehend the culprits.

Authorities are continuing their efforts to gather more information on the robbers, and further details are awaited.
