‘Jagannath Ashtakam’ By Sambit Patra & Kailash Kher Released

Bhubaneswar (Reporters Today Bureau): A day before the world-famous Ratha Jatra of Lord Jagannath, Balabhadra and Debi Subhadra at Puri, BJP National Spokesperson Sambit Patra along with Padma Shri Kailash Kher drew attention for singing the devotional song ‘Jagannath Ashtakam’.

In the 6 minutes and 58 seconds video, Patra and Kher sang the devotional song of the Lord Jaganntha in melodious voice. Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan released the devotional song video in presence of Puri MLA Jayanta Kumar Sarangi and Patra. The annual nine-day sojourn of Lord Jagannatha and His siblings is scheduled to begin tomorrow at Puri.

The Lord of the Universe along with His divine siblings will come out of the Ratna Singhasana inside the sanctum sanctorum of the Shree Jagannatha Temple and begin the sojourn to his aunt’s place at Gundicha Temple tomorrow. Like last year, devotees will not be allowed to participate in the chariot festival in view of the Covid disease this time as well.
