IT Raids Hansita Abhilipsa in Fraud Probe

Bhubaneswar: The Income Tax Department is conducting raids at the residence of Hansita Abhilipsa in connection with an ongoing fraud investigation. Simultaneous searches are underway at 10 locations across Odisha, New Delhi, and Jharkhand.

On January 6, officials questioned Anil’s wife for nearly six hours. During the interrogation, she reportedly provided crucial information implicating Hansita.

Investigators have uncovered significant financial transactions from HDFC and ICICI bank accounts linked to Anil. Meanwhile, the Enforcement Directorate has requested further details regarding the couple, dubbed the “real-life Bunty and Babli” for their elaborate scams.

Anil and Hansita allegedly posed as relatives of VVIPs, targeting business magnates and industrialists. They used doctored photos with high-profile figures to deceive and defraud victims.

The Bhubaneswar Police’s Special Crime Unit plans to take the duo into remand for further interrogation as the investigation deepens.
