IPS Ashish Kumar Singh appointed as IG, Indo-Tibetan Border Police
Center appoints Odisha-cadre IPS officer Ashish Kumar Singh as Inspector General, Indo-Tibetan Border Police. The 2004-batch officer has been appointed to the post for a period of five years from the date of assumption of the charge or until further orders. A letter from Union Home Ministry to Odisha Chief Secretary has been issued. Singh had courted controversy earlier this year for allegedly unduly interfering in the election process in the state.
