Intruder shot dead after he rams car into gate of Farooq Abdullah’s house
Adarsh Rout: A 25-year-old former gun dealer from Poonch district was shot dead by CRPF personnel after he forcibly entered the residence of former Jammu and Kashmir chief minister and National Conference leader Dr Farooq Abdullah at Bhatindi in Jammu on Saturday morning.
Identified as Syeed Murfad Shah, son of Imzad Hussain Shah of Mendhar from Poonch, the deceased was living with his family at Chinore on the outskirts of Jammu city. The deceased had shifted to Jammu with his family in the wake of police busting a fake gun licence racket allegedly involving some revenue officials. While some officials were arrested in the case, Shah had reportedly fled to Gulf. He returned after some time and closed his gun business in Mendhar town, sources said.
