International Film Fest in Goa from Nov 20-28
This year IFFI 2018 spreads the Joy of Cinema from the past present and future, with a select bequest of films form the world’s top film-makers.
The International Film Festival of India 2018 is less than a month away and this year’s Steering Committee is being spearheaded by big names like Karan Johar, Subhash Ghai and Siddharth Roy Kapur to name a few. IFFI 2018 aims at showcasing cinematic talent for you to see, with a brand-new range of Film Sections like Talent Hub, State Focus, Sketch on Screen, World Panorama, Retrospective of the Masters and a special section dedicated to the Khelo India Campaign , this year’s festival promises to be a new experience in cinema.
Spanning across 9 days, this year’s IFFI will feature films from over 65 countries. Each year a particular country is given focus at the festival to encourage cultural exchange and promote the friendly bond that exists between India and them. This year’s country of focus is Israel, and be sure to expect a vast array of films that depict its rich culture.
Film-lovers will get a chance to watch the awarding winning films that have been showcased in famous film festivals around the world such as Cannes, Toronto International Film Festival and the Oscars. In addition to these, the audience will get to witness Film Premieres of critically acclaimed films such as Beyond The Clouds, Murder on Orient Express, 120 Beats per Minute, Village Rock stars etc which have been screened in the past years.
Film enthusiasts can attend specially curate master classes conducted by experts in different fields such as directors, cinematographers, sound editors etc. In the previous years, famous filmmakers like Subhash Ghai, Nitish Tiwari, the team of the movie Dangal and Oscar winning sound mixer Craig Mann have delivered enriching and valuable master classes that left the auditoriums jam packed.
