IndiGo Halts Bhubaneswar-Abu Dhabi Flights Amid Mideast Tensions

Bhubaneswar: In light of escalating tensions in the Middle East, IndiGo Airlines has suspended its recently launched direct flight services between Bhubaneswar and Abu Dhabi as a precautionary measure.
The airline announced the suspension of flights 6E 1442 (Bhubaneswar to Abu Dhabi) and 6E 1441 (Abu Dhabi to Bhubaneswar) due to ongoing conflict between Iran and Israel, as well as recent U.S. airstrikes targeting Iranian nuclear facilities. IndiGo stated that the move is part of a proactive safety strategy to avoid any potential risks.
The airline assured that services will resume once safe air corridors are confirmed and operational.
The Bhubaneswar-Abu Dhabi direct flights had been launched earlier this month, with Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi formally inaugurating the international service from Biju Patnaik International Airport on June 12. The suspension, though temporary, marks a significant disruption for passengers relying on the new international route.
