IMD predicts rainfall on March 19 in Odisha

Bhubaneswar: As a respite from the intense heatwave, the IMD predicted that rainfall in Odisha to occur on March 19. On Saturday, the temperature crossed 42 degrees in Boudh.

The Meteorological department had issued an heatwave warnings in several districts of Odisha for three days starting Saturday. In its latest bulletin, the weather forecasting agency predicted rainfall on March 19. The rain is likely to be of light to moderate intensity, it also said that thunders can occur.

Districts of Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Balasore, Bhadrak and Sundargarh are likely to witness light to medium rains. Thunders may also accompany the rains said the weather department. However, other districts are likely to have dry weather on March 19 and 20.

Similarly, Sundargarh, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Jharsuguda, Sambalpur, Deogarh, Balasore, Bhadrak and Jajpur may witness rains at one or two places said the MeT. The other districts are likely to have a dry weather on March 20 and 21.
