IMD Predicts Rainfall From February 19

Bhubaneswar: The regional centre of the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted rainfall over different districts of Odisha from February 19.
While issuing the weather warning for the next seven days, the IMD said that dry weather is very likely to prevail over the districts of Odisha till February 18.
However, one of two places of Jagatsighpur, Kendrapara, Bhadrak, Balasore, Jajpur, Cuttack, Dhenkanal, Keonjhar and Mayurbhanj districts are likely to witness light to moderate rainfall between 8.30 AM of February 19 and 8.30 AM of February 20, forecasted the weather department.
Likewise, the light to moderate rainfall will also take place in Jagatsighpur, Kendrapara, Bhadrak, Balasore, Jajpur, Cuttack, Dhenkanal, Keonjhar and Mayurbhanj districts from 8.30 AM of February 20 to 8.30 AM of February 21, said the IMD.
It, however, issued shallow to moderate fog warning during early morning hours at one or two places over the districts of North Coastal Odisha till 8.30 AM of February 16.
Meanwhile, IMD’s forecast for the rainfall has brought a sigh of relief for the people of the state as they were worried after the maximum day temperature had been rising for the last several days with the mercury climbing to the 37 Celsius for the first time this year on February 12. Jharsuguda had recorded 37 degrees Celsius on Wednesday.
