Heatwave: Yellow warning issued to 11 districts

Bhubaneswar: The weather has taken a change in the capital city of Odisha since today morning. Drizzling has been witnessed at a few place.
Norwester backed rain (Kalabaisakhi) is continuing in many parts of the state. Kalabaisakhi rain is likely in the state for the next three days as well.
Today, a yellow warning has been issued for 13 Odisha districts for lightning and thunder. Similarly, the regional meteorological center has issued a yellow warning to 11 districts for heat and humidity.
On the other hand, two low-pressure areas are coming simultaneously. A low-pressure area is likely to form in the Bay of Bengal and the Arabian Sea in the last week of May!
A cyclone may form on the Karnataka coast of the Arabian Sea today. Under its influence, a low-pressure area is likely to form by the 22nd of May. The low-pressure area may further intensify and move northwards.
On the other hand, a cyclone may form in the east-central Bay of Bengal and adjacent areas by May 27. However, director of the Bhubaneswar Meterological Centre has advised to keep distance from rumours regarding cyclone in Odisha.
People are getting restless as the heat and humidity continue in the state. There is a possibility of Kalbaisakhi for the next 7 days.
This time the monsoon will arrive ahead to Odisha. The southwest monsoon will touch Kerala in the next 4 to 5 days. The weather is favorable for the monsoon to touch the Kerala coast. After this, if the monsoon remains active, it will reach Odisha soon. Usually, the southwest monsoon enters Odisha in the second week of June. But this time, it is speculated that if monsoon arrives Kerala early, the same will also reach Odisha before time.
Meanwhile, the hot weather is unbearable in the state. Kalbaisakhi is expected in various parts of the state until the 24th. Yellow warning has been issued to 13 districts tomorrow for lightning and thunder.
Similarly, the regional meteorological center has issued a yellow warning for 11 districts tomorrow due to heat and humidity. There is no possibility of a major change in the maximum temperature in the next 7 days.
