Heat Wave: Orange warning issued for Jharsuguda and 7 other districts

Bhubaneswar: Orange warning has been issued for Jharsuguda district and 7 other districts for for severe heatwave today. The seven districts are Boudh, Balangir, Sundargarh, Sambalpur, Bargarh, Kalahandi and Sonepur.
Similarly, yellow warning has been issued for Angul, Nuapada and Deogarh districts for heatwave today. The regional meteorological center has issued yellow warning for 11 districts for heat and humidity and 3 districts for hot nights.
It is to be noted that Odissha is experiencing scorching sunlight and unbearable heatwave in these days. There is no respite from the heat while western Odisha is experiencing increased heatwave condition. It has been predicted that such heatwave condition would prevail till 26th April.
Orange warning issued for 8 districts and yellow warning issued for 17 districts for tomorrow. The temperature is likely to increase by 2 to 4 degrees Celsius in the next 3 days. The SRC has alerted all district collectors to remain prepared to deal with the rising heat.
