Hardcore Maoist leader Hidma dismissed from post

Bhubaneswar: The Maoist organization has taken a big decision and removed top-tier Maoist leader Hidma from his post. This has come amidst the encounter of other top Maoist leaders.

In the Nuapada bordering Gariabandh exchange of fire (EOF) and the Malkangiri bordering Bijapur EOF many top Maoist leaders were encountered. During the exchange of fire between CoBRA, CRPF and other security personnel against the red rebels, Hidma had escaped getting caught.

After this, the Maoists have removed Maoist leader Hidma from his post.  He was involved in major Maoist attacks viz the Bijapur landmine explosion that killed at eight jawans. He was also the mastermind behind the Gadchirouli jungle violence in which 67 jawans were martyred.

On the other hand, by March 31, 2026, Naxalism will be eradicated from Chhattisgarh announced Union Home Minister Amit Shah. He is closely monitoring the progress in this direction. Based on the Intelligence inputs, CRPF, BSF, DIRG and OSTF jawans have been added in the operation against Maoists.
