Haider Escapes: Cops Suspended
Sambalpur (Reporters Today Bureau): Taking strict action for negligence in duty for which dreaded gangster Haider managed to escape from the SCB Medical College & Hospital in Ex-capital, Sambalpur SP today suspended six police officials including a Havildar.
The six police personnel include- Ramesh Chandra Dehury (Havildar), Mohammad Mousum (Constable), Bulbul Sahu (Constable), Deepak Sahu (Constable), Umakanta Behera (Constable) and Sudhansu Majhi (Constable).
The six were deployed for security of Haider, who fled from the hospital during treatment on Saturday evening. They were placed under suspension following departmental inquiry. Haider, who is convicted and sentenced to life in connection with two murder cases, was undergoing treatment at the SCB Hospital in Cuttack since March 23. He was serving jail term at the Balangir Circle Jail.
