GRP Seizes 58 kg Silver Jewellery at Rourkela Railway Station

Rourkela: The Government Railway Police (GRP) seized 58 kg of silver jewellery from a youth at Rourkela Railway Station in Odisha’s Sundargarh district today.

The accused, identified as Chandan Soni, was heading towards Ranchi with a general class ticket. During a routine search operation, GRP officials found the silver hidden in his bag. Soni could not provide any valid documentation for carrying such a large quantity of silver.

The youth was handed over to the State GST authorities for further interrogation. Investigations are ongoing, and further details are awaited.
