GPS System to Equipped in Ambulances

Bhubaneswar (Adarsh Rout): The traffic system of the state capital is going downward day by day. It’s only because of the unimaginable hike in motor vehicles number in the smart city.
After Tuesday’s incident of traffic jam where a child died due to the ambulance get stuck in jam, the state government today planned to setting up GPS system in every ambulance. The commissionerate police to set ‘On Board Units’ (OBU) in every ambulance by which the police keep looking on the vehicular activity of the city and may able to clear all the jam on its route before the vehicles arrival.
Earlier this OBU system was successfully installed in the dump truck of BMC. In the first phase the OBU system will installed only on government ambulances.
