Gangster Hyder’s Car seized used for Escape

Cuttack (Reporters Today Bureau):  In an ongoing probe into Sheikh Hyder’s escape case,  Mangalbagh police seized the car today in which Hyder fled to Telangana from Odisha.

The car was seized by the Telangana Police that handed over the vehicle to the Commissionerate Police following the arrest of Hyder on April 15. The vehicle belongs to Swift Company while the number is OD02S40. The vehicle number is from Bhubaneswar while its owner identified as Trilochan Sahu.

However, the RTO data does not specify the vehicle model. The vehicle’s license plate may have been changed or the vehicle may have been changed which will be clarified by police after investigation

The seized car was brought by The Commissionerate Police to Odisha and parked on the premises of the Mangalabag Police Station in Cuttack.

On April 10 Hyder had escaped from the SCB hospital giving a slip to police He had fled on a motorcycle, in the midway a car picked the criminal from Cuttack and he moved to Telangana by road.

The gangster was nabbed by the police in Sangareddy district on April 15 evening while he was riding a motorcycle with a pillion.  with the help of Telangana police, Cuttack police were able to catch him. On 16 April, he was taken back to Odisha in a flight. He was forwarded before the JMFC Court in Cuttack that permitted the Commissionerate Police to take the gangster on a 7-day remand for interrogation into his escape case.

However, after Hyder’s coronary test, he was found to be infected with Coronavirus. Police then sent him to Chaudhwar Jail. There he is placed in isolation.

He was brought back to Odisha on a flight on April 16 morning. He was produced before the JMFC Court in Cuttack that allowed the Commissionerate Police to take the gangster on a 7-day remand for interrogation into his escape case. If his health condition goes down, he will be move to the SCB Hospital for treatment.

In the meantime, they arrested more suspects regarding the escape of Haider. Earlier, three persons including Yakub were arrested
