Fourth Arrest Made in Bangladeshi Minor Trafficking Case

Cuttack: Madhupatna police have arrested a fourth individual in connection with the trafficking of a Bangladeshi minor girl. The accused, Sunita Das, known as “Didi” among the network of pimps, was apprehended from Baripada on Saturday.

The trafficking racket came to light on November 9 when the minor girl was rescued by police while wandering alone at night. She was later handed over to the Child Welfare Committee (CWC). Investigations revealed that the girl had been lured with a false promise of a job and was being transported to Baripada for forced prostitution.

On November 25, police arrested the alleged kingpin couple behind the racket. Another accomplice was arrested shortly after, bringing the total number of arrests to four.

Authorities are continuing their investigation to uncover further details about the trafficking network and its operations.
