Four multi-level car parking system soon in Capital

Reporters Today: To improve the parking facility across the city, Bhubaneswar Development Authority has prepared a four new multi-level car parking (MLCPs) plan in different locations.

Those locations four are Janata Maidan (1 acre), Kharvel Nagar behind Ram Mandir (1.5 acre), Kalpana Square (0.984 acre) and Nayapalli behind Jupiter Science College near Indradhanu Market (1.116 acre).

Proposal in this regard has been submitted by the BDA to the eneral Administration Department for alienation of the land in favour of Housing and Urban Development Department.

Work of two MLCPs is already in progress at Saheed Nagar and Unit-II (Rajmahal) under the Bhubaneswar Smart City Limited (BSCL).

The parking will have a double basement which includes an upper and lower basement and ground floor as a parking area. Likewise, the first, second and third floors will also have parking for vehicles, the fourth, fifth and sixth floors of all the four new MLCPs will have commercial space so that at least 60 percent cost towards developing the facilities can be recovered.

The MLCPs model will be similar to BSCLs. The four proposed MLCPs will have 450 ECS (equivalent car space) per acre of space.

The model will be constructed in a unique, with beautiful facades, energy efficient structures and environment friendly buildings.
