Four Bangladeshi Nationals Detained in Paradip for Illegal Entry

Paradip: In a significant security development, the Paradip Lock police have detained four Bangladeshi nationals who had allegedly entered India illegally and were residing in a rented house in the Atharabanki area of Paradip.

According to police sources, all four individuals belong to the same family and are suspected to have crossed into India via West Bengal before reaching the coastal town of Paradip in Odisha.

The detention was made following a raid based on intelligence inputs. During preliminary interrogation, the detainees reportedly confessed their identity and admitted to entering the country without valid documentation. Police confirmed that no official identification papers were recovered from their possession.

The motive behind their unauthorised entry and stay in Paradip remains under investigation. Authorities are currently interrogating the family to determine the purpose of their movement, and whether they had any local support or network facilitating their travel and accommodation.

The incident has raised concerns over border security and illegal migration, particularly in sensitive zones such as strategic port towns. Officials indicated that the matter is being handled with utmost seriousness, and further action will be taken in accordance with legal provisions and government guidelines.

As of now, the four individuals remain in police custody while a detailed probe is underway.
