Firing on Nandan Kanan Express Near Bhadrak

Bhadrak: In a startling incident, a shooting was reported on the Nandan Kanan Express (Anand Vihar-Puri Express) in Odisha near Bhadrak on Tuesday afternoon. According to reliable sources, the guard of train number 12816 alerted authorities after the window of the guard van was struck by an object, indicating a potential firing.

The incident occurred in the Bhadrak-Baudpur section of Odisha, but fortunately, no injuries were reported. In response to the situation, the Railway Protection Force (RPF) secured the train and escorted it safely to Puri.

The train was traveling from Delhi to Puri at the time of the incident. The Government Railway Police (GRP) have initiated an investigation to determine the circumstances surrounding the firing, including the motive and intended target. Further details are awaited as the inquiry progresses.
