Fire at engineering college in Bhubaneswar

Bhubaneswar: A major fire broke out in a private engineering college in Jagmara area of Bhubaneswar. More than 100 students are reported to be trapped.

According to reports, the fire brigade is trying to douse the flames bellowing out of the building. Some people are reported to have been injured in the fire.

Reports further said that, the injured are being rescued in ambulances. Three fire brigade engines are engaged in extinguishing the fire. The cause of the fire is not clear yet.

UPDATE:

A major fire that broke out in a private college in Jagmara, it has been reported that the fire broke out in the auditorium due to an AC compressor malfunction.

More than 100 students were present at the time. On receiving information, the fire brigade reached the spot and doused the fire. Further reports said that, all the students have been rescued safely.

Three fire engines were engaged in extinguishing the flames.

FIRE DEPARMENT UPDATE:

“A fire broke out in the auditorium of a private college in Jagamara area of Bhubaneswar. There was a fire in the second floor, which has been brought under control. Fire and Emergency Services department responded swiftly and rescued around 65 students from the third floor.

The update further added, “One student felt uneasy because of smoke and has been taken to the hospital as a preventive measure.”
