Filthy Politics in Mamita Case

Bhubaneswar (Surjit Kumar Dhal): The current Mamita Meher murder mystery has created a huge political war in Odisha. In the last few days, Minister of State for Home, Captain Dibya Shankar Mishra has been intentionaly dragged into the gruesome murder of a lady teacher Mamita Meher in Kalahandi district’s Mahaling. The teacher was strangulated to death by a contractor Gobinda Sahu, allegedly to be very close to Captain, her body chopped off and buried in the under-construction stadium behind a government high school at Mahaling. The alleged killer Gobinda Sahu had set up multiple educational institutions where Captain was a frequent guest.
Question arises here that, how a public figure intentionally dragged into a crime which was done by someone else. If Captain went to Mahaling College to attend a function as guest, then how he was involved in a crime of the institute owner ? Prior to it, the then Congress MP Bhakta Das also attended Govinda Sahu’s function. Then how Bhakta’s name wasn’t included in the above case?
The Odisha Police had arrested the main accused Govinda Sahu and the probe is on with full swing. CM Naveen didn’t spare any corrupted or misconducted officials or ministers during his 20 years of governance. No need of such drama of Odisha Bandh, Balangir Bandh, Kalahandi bandh, etc. The normal life of public is being paralyzed due to such worthless strikes by opposition parties.
Mamita went missing on October 8. Family members went to Kegaon police station of Kalahandi only to be turned away. Four days later on October 13, the case was finally registered at Sindhekela police station in Balangir district. Balangir police dragged its feet for next three days and picked up Gobinda on October 15.
He remained in police custody but did not spell a word. He allegedly fled from Titlagarh police barracks on October 17 night. The next day, as the controversy snowballed, police suddenly found its feet and discovered the spot where Mamita may have been buried. Bodily remains were found and within hours Gobinda was arrested and even confessed the crime.
