Festival mood gets Bhubaneswar youth dancing

Bhubaneswar: The city is already in a celebratory mood due to Hockey World Cup. Add to this Zumba and flash mob at select public places of Bhubaneswar and we can see young people dancing even  before the New Year sets in.

In a bid to attract more and more people to the upcoming Bhubaneswar City Festival (.FEST) the BDA started a high octane outreach campaign near select city malls. Youth volunteers performed Zumba near BMC Bhawani Mall and Central Mall in Saheed Nagar and Pal Heights in Jaydev Vihar. Public is also seen joining the dancers.

The first programme, Zumba, was staged at Bhawani Mall and Pal Heights Mall. From tomorrow, flash mob and street plays will be added to make the campaign more attractive.

 The city has already opened 11 counters to for the FEST tickets through book my show and four offline counters at Ekamra Haat, BMC-Bhawani, Espladade and Central Mall. In other places like KIIT University, SOA University, Market Building also there is one counter each. Sources also said that there will also be one counter in Cuttack at Bali Jatra Ground to attract visitors from the Millennium City.

BDA is jointly organising the unique festival with Odisha Tourism, for the first time in the Temple City. The programme for the citizen outreach will continue till December 1.
This festival will be held from December 1to 16. People can look forward to an inaugural curtain raiser performance by Bollywood music composers Vishal and Shekhar, folk, martial and tribal dances, performances by music composers Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy etc.
