Faulty Sarpanch Reservation List

Jaleswar (Ajit Kumar Sahu): The State Government and the administration are chanting slogans for education, jobs, elections, etc. to bring Dalit, Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, Women and backward classes into the mainstream of society.
But the real picture is exactly opposite. Scheduled Tribes have also been largely ignored, especially in the run-up to elections. That’s what the official paper says. Finally, the Baleswar district administration announced on 27th December that a total of 28 panchayats in the block, with a population of 1lakh 97 thousand. Of these, 44,833 are Scheduled Castes, i.e. 22.70 per cent.
There are 11,226 Scheduled Tribes, accounting for 5.68 per cent of the total population. Similarly, in terms of panchayats, Deula, Dagra and Panchupali have the highest number of Scheduled Tribes with 27.19, 22.58, 21.26 per cent respectively. Now it is a big question about the transparency of the reservation system, as these panchayats have been excluded from S.T. reservation list.
