Family dispute turns violent

A family dispute turns to tragic after a woman killed her father-in-law just two days after she stabbed her husband with a knife leaving him critically-injured

The incident was reported from Baradiha village under Astaranga police limits in Puri district. The accused flee away from the spot but later detained by police today.

The accused woman identified as Rojalin stabbed her husband Sandip with a knife over some family dispute on July 14 night. Critically-injured Sandip was rushed to the SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack.

Rojalin attacked her father-in-law Sarat after some heated argument with him over the attack incident, following which she hit the latter’s head with a wooden plank.

On being informed, police along with a scientific team rushed to the spot and began investigation. Further investigation is on into the incident, police said.
