‘Expansion of Cabinet is a state subject, CM Majhi to decide’

Bhubaneswar, July 26: Expansion of Cabinet is a state subject said Odisha BJP Chief Manmohan Samal on Saturday.

Responding to the presser on the matter of expansion of Odisha Cabinet which is speculated by the political experts, Samal cleared the air and said that expansion of Odisha Cabinet with reshuffle among Ministers and induction of new Minister as well, are to be decided by Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi.

He is the CM, to decide on the new members befitting for his Cabinet in order to lead his team for efficient management of state’s development, Samal added.

Samal, however indicated that the Odisha government is almost working out on expanding the Cabinet soon.The Odisha Cabinet will have a robust team of members preferably by the August 2025.

On filling the vacancies in state Boards and Corporations, Samal said that the State BJP brigrades will soon fill up the vacant bodies with efficient heads. It’s why the top leadership is all set to finalise the panel of BJP cadres based on their skills, experience and efficiency, to head the boards and corporations.

Not mentioning the specific deadline for filling the state boards’ vacancies, the state BJP unit will appoint chairpersons and board members for different statutory bodies, Samal added.
