Excise Dept seizes 6,203 litres duplicate alcohol from Cuttack

Cuttack: The Odisha Excise Department’s AIAB Central Unit in Cuttack busted a racket manufacturing fake liquor on Friday. The team of officials was led by Excise Commissioner.

According to information, the Odisha Excise Department’s AIAB Central Unit in Cuttack detained two accused in this matter. They were brought to the Cuttack Excise Head Office for investigation.

The operation resulted in the seizure of approximately 6,203.52 litres of spurious branded alcohol. The total estimated market value of the seized stock is around Rs 77,29,910.

Odisha Excise Commissioner Dharmendra Malik says, “AAIB Central Unit in Cuttack has bust a duplicate liquor manufacturing unit and 6,203.52 litres of duplicate alcohol has been seized.
