Ex-Akashwani Director Prasenjit Mohanty Passes Away

Bhubaneswar: Odisha mourns the loss of Prasenjit Mohanty, former Director of Akashwani Cuttack, who passed away on Monday evening at the age of 70.

Mohanty suffered a heart attack while traveling from Bhubaneswar to Cuttack. He was immediately taken to Capital Hospital, where doctors pronounced him dead on arrival.

At the time of his passing, Mohanty was serving as the editor of Kalabikash Kendra, continuing his long-standing contribution to Odisha’s cultural and media landscape.

He was the son of Binapani Mohanty, the renowned programming producer behind Sisusansar, a popular program broadcast by Akashwani.

Mohanty’s death marks a significant loss to the state’s broadcasting and cultural fraternity.
