Empower youth from the grassroots, stresses OLA Speaker Padhy

Bhubaneswar: Odisha Legislative Assembly Speaker Surama Padhy has stressed the need to empower the youth from the grassroots level.
, urging them to actively contribute to the nation’s growth. While inaugurating the State-Level Viksit Bharat Youth Parliament at the Odisha Legislative Assembly premises, Padhy said, “The youth are the architects of the future. They play a crucial role in nation-building and in achieving the vision of Viksit Odisha 2036 and Viksit Bharat 2047.”
The two-day program, inaugurated by Speaker Padhy in the Assembly’s conference hall, saw the participation of around 140 young delegates from different districts across Odisha. The event serves as a platform for these young leaders to engage in policy discussions and showcase their leadership abilities. The winners from this state-level competition will have the honor of representing Odisha at the Viksit Bharat Youth Parliament Program in New Delhi.
The inauguration was attended by key figures, including Deputy Speaker Bhavani Shankar Bhoi, Minister of Higher Education, Sports & Youth Services, and Odia Language, Literature & Culture Suryabanshi Suraj, Minister of Health & Family Welfare, Electronics & IT, and Parliamentary Affairs Mukesh Mahaling, along with Digapahandi MLA Siddhant Mohapatra, Balasore MLA Manas Kumar Dutta, and Odisha Assembly Secretary Satyabrata Raut. These dignitaries lauded the enthusiasm and passion displayed by the youth participants.
The Viksit Bharat Youth Parliament is an initiative under the Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports, Government of India, designed to foster leadership qualities and provide a platform for young minds to engage in meaningful policy discourse. Through such initiatives, the program aims to inspire the youth to actively contribute to the socio-economic development of the nation.
