Eid-ul-Fitr With Religious Fervour & Gaiety

Surjit Kumar Dhal,Bhubaneswar, June 5: Eid-ul-Fitr, which marks the end of Islam’s holy month of Ramadan, was celebrated with religious fervour and gaiety across Odisha on wednesday.
Muslim brethren across the State offered special mass prayers in ‘Idgah’ (open grounds) and mosques, marking the culmination of the 30 days of rigorous fasting and austerity.
After offering ‘Namaaz’, they greeted each with ‘Eid Mubarak’.
Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik greeted the people on the occasion.
“Warm greetings for all on the auspicious occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr. May the spirit of Eid bring happiness and strengthen the spirit of brotherhood and amity in the society,” he tweeted.
Muslims dressed in new clothes thronged the sacred venues since morning for the ‘Namaaz-e-Eid’.
