ED Raids Properties in ₹231 Crore Loan Fraud Case

Bhubaneswar: The Enforcement Directorate (ED) conducted simultaneous raids on Wednesday morning at the residence and office of Khirod Mallik, the late brother of senior BJD leader Pramila Mallik, in connection with a ₹231 crore loan fraud case.

The raids were carried out at three locations in Sambalpur, Odisha, and one in New Delhi. Khirod Mallik, formerly associated with the NGO Bharat Integrated Social Welfare Agency (BISWA), is accused of misusing loans worth ₹231 crore secured from multiple public and private sector banks.

According to reports, the funds were allegedly diverted for election-related activities. The ED also raided the office of BISWA during the operation.
