E-Police Station Established in Odisha

(Pramit Pramathes) Bhubaneswar:  The Odisha Government establishes e-Police Station at State Crime Records Bureau, here. It will help people lodge e-FIRs in motor vehicle theft cases. It will have jurisdiction all over the State & start functioning with immediate effect

According to the procedure, the complainant needs to create a user ID and password to file an online complaint against vehicle theft, “We will encourage victims of vehicle theft not to go to police stations to lodge complaints. Instead, they can file them online,” said a police official.

The creation of the e-police station is a part of state government’s 5 T initiative.
