Dr. Sudhanshu Sarangi new Police Commissioner of Twin City
Bhubaneswar: In a major reshuffle of IPS officers effected by the State Government on Monday, Dr. Sudhanshu Sarangi was appointed as the new Police Commissioner of Bhubaneswar and Cuttack. 1990-batch IPS officer Dr. Sarangi will take charge from incumbent Police Commissioner Satyajit Mishra who has been posted as Additional DGP Prisons and Director Correctional Services.
Incumbent Additional DGP Prisons, Mahendra Pratap has been appointed as Director, Printing Press and Stationary, Cuttack. Additional DGP Law and Order, Sanjeeb Panda has been appointed Transport Commissioner. RP Koche, the Additional DGP Operations has been appointed as Additional DGP Law and Order in place of Panda. 1998-batch IPS and IGP Fire Services and Home Guards Rajesh Kumar, has been appointed as Director State Crime Records Bureau.
Ashish Kumar Singh, DIG Intelligence and in charge of CM’s Security has been appointed as DIG Central Range. Diptesh Pattanayak, DIG Police SC & ST Protection Cell, HRPC has been appointed as IGP Eastern Range, Balasore. Satyabrata Bhoi, DIG Northern Range has been appointed as DIG of Police (Southern Range) Berhampur. Himanshu Lal, DIG South Western Range, has been appointed as DIG Sambalpur. Shefeen Ahmed, DIG Police Headquarters has been appointed as DIG Koraput (South Western Range). DIG Eastern Range, AN Sinha has been appointed as DIG CID-Crime Branch. IGP Central Range, Saumendra Priyadarshi has been appointed as IGP Personnel.
Ghanashyam Upadhayay, IGP SIW has been appointed as IGP EOW. NB Bharathi, on return from leave has been appointed as IG Police HRPC. Amitabh Thakur, IG Police SAP has been appointed as IG Police Operation. PS Ranpise, IG Police Personnel has been appointed as IG Police, Vigilance. Rekha Lohani has been appointed as IGP Modernisation with additional charge of IGP Provisioning. Asheet Panigrai, IGP Headquarters has been appointed as IGP Home Guard, Fire Services and Civil Defence. Yatindra Koyal IGP Southern Range (Berhampur), has been appointed as IGP SAP. Anirudh Kumar Singh Commandant SOG, has been appointed as In-charge DIG SIW.
