Dillip Ray visits Naveen Niwas after 17 years

Former BJP MLA from Rourkela Dillip Ray on Saturday visited Naveen Niwas triggering speculation about his joining his old party. Ray was in the residence of BJD supremo Naveen Patnaik for about an hour, said sources.

The political grapevine was agog with murmurs since afternoon that Ray, who recently quit the BJP and State Assembly expressing resentment about State party leadership, was inclined to return to his parent party along with another former BJD leader Bijay Mohapatra who too quit BJP along with Ray. However, nothing was known about the moves of Mohapatra till late Saturday evening. According to sources, Ray may join the ruling party tomorrow after the go ahead from party supremo.
