Destruction of seized Narcotic Drugs by STF

Today i.e. on 28.03.2023 on the decision of Drug Disposal Committee led by SP, STF, BBSR, Deputy Collector, O/o. ADM, Bhubaneswar, Dy Superintendent of Excise, Bhubaneswar, DSP, STF in presence of Scientific Officers of State Forensic Science laboratory and Member of State Pollution Board disposed/destructed bulk quantity of contraband Brown Sugar i.e. 06 Kg in 03 cases and 105 Kg Ganja in 01 Case, which were seized from the possession of accused persons, at a designated incinerator i.e. Sani Clean Pvt. Ltd. Tangiapada, Khordha following all due procedure. The seized contraband Brown Sugar and Ganja were first authenticated/ certificated by concerned court and handed over to Drug disposal committee for the disposal/ destruction.

Till date STF has destructed/disposed of 56 kg 815 gm brown sugar in 48 cases and 133 Qtls 84 kg Ganja in 28 cases including today’s destruction.

Similarly, Odisha Police has disposed/ destructed more than 1500 Qtls Ganja in 794 cases and more than 66 kg Brown Sugar in 71 cases.
