Deputy CM asks Subhadra Yojna beneficiaries to visit banks to resolve payment issues

BHUBANESWAR: Odisha’s Deputy Chief Minister Pravati Parida has asked the beneficiaries of the Subhadra Yojana to visit their respective banks on January 29 and 30 for a special drive aimed at resolving issues related to NPCI failures.
The initiative will help ensure that eligible recipients, who have yet to receive their disbursement, are able to access the funds during the ongoing four-phase disbursement of the first instalment, she said.
Parida explained to the reporters that the failure of the National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI), responsible for facilitating the transfer of funds, had impacted 3,31,188 cases. To resolve the issue, beneficiaries are advised to visit the banks where they hold accounts on the specified dates. NPCI, the umbrella organisation for retail payments in India, operates under the guidance of the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) and the Indian Bankers’ Association (IBA).
Parida further noted that 10,723,294 women have registered under the Subhadra Yojana, with approximately Rs 80.29 crore already disbursed to eligible beneficiaries.
