DANA Fear: Leaves of Government Officials Cancelled

Ganjam: The Ganjam District and Municipal Corporation administration is ready to deal with possible cyclone Dana that is likely to hit Odisha.  The District Collector has canceled all the leaves said reports.

It is further worth mentioning that, a 24-hour control room has been opened by the Municipal Corporation and 21 shelters have been identified. The BeMC plans to relocate more than eight thousand people from 10 slum areas of the city to safe places.

The ODRAF, fire, police and rescue teams are on alert. On the other hand, from October 23 to October 25, tourists are prohibited from going to Gopalpur beach, further reports said.

Likewise, the District Collector said that preparations have been started to deal with any situation of the cyclone Dana. All employees have been instructed to be vigilant. Landslides had occurred in the hilly areas during the last Titili cyclone. So this time, the administration is vigilant so that such a situation does not happen.

Cyclone shelters have been prepared. Attention has been paid to the costal areas. Various departments have been instructed to be alert. The leave of government employees from October 21 to October 26 has been cancelled. Further detailed reports awaited.
