Damage assessment report to be out tomorrow
Bhubaneswar: The damage assessment report will be out tomorrow, informed Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi on Monday. It is to be noted that following reports of crop damage due to the unseasonal rain in Odisha, the CM, Deputy CM and a few ministers had visited to the field to take stock of the situation at ground zero.
Chief Minister Mohan Majhi reviewed the situation on the ground yesterday. The Deputy Chief Minister and other ministers visited the areas affected by the unseasonal rains. A land survey was conducted in some villages of Nayagarh, Gajapati and Ganjam districts.
It has been said that crops have been damaged in many districts of the state, including the above 3 districts. After the assessment, the period for crop damage assessment has been extended by another day. Hence, the damage assessment report will be out tomorrow. It is to be noted that apart from paddy, losses will also be assessed for cotton crops.
