Cuttack station to become world class station at a cost of Rs 303 cr
In order to develop Cuttack railway station into a world-class entity, a budget of Rs 303 crore has been approved for the project, said railway minister Ashwini Vaishnaw.
The beautification of the railway station comes as part of the railways’ movements under which stations across India are getting a revamp.
The railway minister said the Centre has allocated around Rs 10,000 crore for the railways sector in Odisha in 2023-24 fiscal. The Railways has decided to redevelop 57 railway stations in the state, he said.
Briefing about the train link Vaishnaw said that, direct train link between Bhadrak and Nayagarh District and connecting five districts of the State via important towns like Khurda Road, Bhubaneswar and Cuttack will satisfy the public for their easy movements.
