Cuttack Collector Orders Salary Suspension for Employees of 210 Colleges

Cuttack: The District Collector of Cuttack has directed the suspension of salaries for employees of nearly 210 colleges that have failed to submit their Internal Complaints Committee (ICC) reports within the stipulated time frame. Following instructions from the state Higher Education Department, all colleges were required to submit their ICC reports within 48 hours. While some institutions complied, a significant number missed the deadline.

As a result, the Collector has ordered that the salaries of staff members from these non-compliant colleges be withheld. Furthermore, a strict warning has been issued stating that if the ICC reports are not submitted within the next 24 hours, the principals of the respective colleges will face suspension. The move underscores the administration’s commitment to timely compliance and accountability in higher education institutions.
