Curfew in Balasore for Anti-Encroachment Drive
Balasore: The Balasore district administration has imposed an 18-hour curfew across various parts of the town to facilitate an anti-encroachment drive. The restrictions will remain in effect from 4:00 AM to 10:00 PM on January 11 and January 12.
The curfew has been declared in Jadpur, Aktiarpur, and areas under Bhaskarganj Mouza to clear encroachments. Key locations targeted for the drive include Arad Bazaar to Vegetable Market, Haripur Chhak to Darjipokhari Chhak, Kasimila Bridge to Phuladi Chhak, Nua Bazaar Railway level crossing to Golapol, and both sides of Nua Bazaar Vegetable Market.
The administration has restricted public gatherings, meetings, and processions in the affected areas during the curfew. Additional police forces have been deployed to maintain law and order and ensure the smooth execution of the anti-encroachment operation.
This drive is part of the district administration’s ongoing efforts to clear illegal encroachments and streamline urban spaces in Balasore town.
