CS for awareness generation about Govt. initiatives under PEETHA

Bhubaneswar: Chief Secretary Aditya Prasad Padhi today directed officials to ensure service and create mass awareness on various welfare initiatives launched by the State government.

His directives came at a high level meeting a day after Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik announced his Government’s ambitious ‘PEETHA’ (People’s Empowerment – Enabling Transparency and Accountability of Odisha Initiatives).

He directed the Principal Secretary Panchayati Raj Department Deo Ranjan Kumar Singh to prepare an action plan for the successful implementation of the schemes announced by the State Government.

Padhi said the PEETHA camps will be organized in every Gram Panchayat across the State from December 15 to 20, January 15 to 20, February 15 to 20 and March 15 to 20.

“PEETHA programme is mainly to focus on creating mass awareness and delivering services at the micro level (Panchayat level). It has been aimed to see that all the services delivered by the State Government are made in an organized manner in the next three months,” he said.

Notably, the Chief Minister yesterday had announced that the Collectors will coordinate at the district level while the BDOs will coordinate at the Block level and the Gram Panchayat officials will coordinate at the Panchayat level.
