Crowd Continues in Srimandir

Puri: The devotees are thronging to the Srimandir at Puri to seek blessings for the New year 2025. The crowd has remained almost same as last two days here. Devotees from near and far off places are flocking to take blessings of the Lord.

Special arrangements have been done for the crowd by the temple authorities. On January 1, 2025 a massive crowd of 5 lakh devotees was seen. For this, darshan remained open till late night. A stampede of the crowd was seen for which police had to tighten their belts.

On the other hand, traffic congestion of vehicles going to and returning from Puri was seen at the Pipili toll gate. Despite the FASTags for toll collection, vehicles are stranded due to excessive vehicles.

On the other hand, the Ratna Bhandar repair work will resume from tomorrow as was pre decided in the meeting of the SJTA. After the iron foundation, deplastering work was done. After resumption of Ratna Bhandar repair work, stone work will be done. The repair work was stalled from December 25 keeping in view the crowd for the New Year. The repair work will start after the second Bhoga Mandap around 12.30pm and will continue till 6.00 pm.
