Crane Collapses in Cuttack: 3 Killed, 2 turn Critical

Cuttack: In a tragic incident, as many as 2 labourers were killed while five others turned critical after sustaining injury. The accident took place after a crane collapsed during the construction of a bridge in Khan Nagar area in Cuttack of Odisha.

As per reports, work was going on at a bridge in the Khan Nagar area of Cuttack today. An accident took place in which the crane that had been used for the construction work, collapsed. Accordingly, a few slabs also collapsed.

The work was going on for a bridge on the Kathajodi River when a crane which was lifting some heavy concrete slabs collapsed. Accordingly, the labourers who were were working under the crane got crushed under the slabs.

As a result of the accident, as many as two persons were killed while five others sustained critical injury.

The critically injured labourers have been admitted to SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack for treatment.
